As part of its commitment to community service and oral health promotion, the Department of Community Dentistry, UMDC, organized a Dental Health Camp at Govt. Graduate College of Commerce, Abdullah Pur, Faisalabad, on June 11, 2026.
The camp was conducted by 2nd Year, 3rd Year, and Final Year BDS students under the guidance and supervision of faculty members. The initiative aimed to enhance oral health awareness and promote positive oral hygiene practices among the students of the institution.
During the camp, educational sessions were conducted to highlight the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and the adverse effects of unhealthy dietary habits on oral and general health. Dental screenings and oral health assessments were carried out by the dental team, and participants were provided with personalized guidance regarding preventive oral care and healthy lifestyle practices.
The activity served as a valuable platform for community engagement, benefiting the participants through increased awareness and early identification of oral health concerns. At the same time, it provided BDS students with meaningful hands-on experience in preventive and community dentistry, further strengthening their clinical skills, professional competence, and sense of social responsibility.
