The Department of Biochemistry, University Medical & Dental College (UMDC), successfully organized the 3rd Intracollegiate Naat & Calligraphy Competition on 4 August 2026 at the Ali Auditorium. The event provided a platform for students of UMDC and The University of Faisalabad (TUF) to showcase their talents in Naat recitation and Islamic calligraphy while promoting creativity, spirituality, and cultural values.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, The University of Faisalabad, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Malik, Principal, UMDC; Prof. Dr. Shirza Nadeem, Vice Principal, UMDC; Prof. Dr. Khalid Chaudhry, Head, Paediatric Surgery; and Prof. Dr. Zahid Nagra. A total of 16 students participated in the Naat competition, with 10 finalists shortlisted through a semifinal round held on 3 August 2026.

The competition concluded with the distribution of certificates, cash prizes, and appreciation for all participants. The event reflected UMDC's commitment to nurturing students' artistic, spiritual, and cultural talents alongside their academic development.
