Dr.Sana Akram is an MBBS Gold Medalist with an FCPS in Physiology. She is a CPSP-approved supervisor for FCPS Physiology and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, assessment design, and academic mentoring. Teaching is the most rewarding aspect of her career. She focuses on making physiology meaningful by promoting conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and clinical integration rather than rote learning. Her research interests include exercise physiology, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and endocrine–metabolic adaptations, with a strong emphasis on clinically relevant and population-based research. She is actively engaged in scholarly activities, journal reviewing, and postgraduate supervision.
