Introduction

The Department of Oral Medicine (OM) at the University Medical & Dental College (UMDC), Faisalabad, is a leading center dedicated to the diagnosis and non-surgical management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial region. The department bridges dentistry and medicine by focusing on comprehensive patient care, clinical training, and academic excellence.

The department diagnoses and manages conditions such as oral mucosal diseases, salivary gland disorders, orofacial pain, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and oral manifestations of systemic illnesses including autoimmune and cancer-related diseases. A holistic, medically focused approach is adopted using detailed history, clinical examination, biopsy, and radiological investigations.

Objectives

• Diagnose and manage common and complex oral conditions using evidence-based clinical approaches.
