Basic sciences have always served as a back bone of undergraduate programs in medical science. Department of Physiology is one of the pioneer departments of UMDC which had started functioning since the inception of this institution in 2003.
The Physiology Department has been imparting high quality basic education to its students in an effort to train them as a competent physician and researcher. Highly qualified and well trained staff is the honor of this department. We are practicing innovative methodologies to enhance our teaching with a strong interdisciplinary approach, in continuity to this we have also introduced a Modular system of studies for MBBS classes.
Our main focuses are delivering quality education and facilitating the students to learn the core concepts of physiology which will help them in future clinical studies. In addition to traditional teaching methods we are also using audio-visual systems to enhance students' concepts of physiology. The departmental representation in extra-curricular activities is also well marked.
Recently we have also started post graduate programs in physiology.
The University of Faisalabad always emphasizes maintaining sustainability in the environment. Following Prime Minister Imran Khan "Monsoon Plantation Drive" The University of Faisalabad also initiated Tree Plantation Campaign on 10th August 2021
