Clinical Services and Facilities
The Department of Pediatrics is fully equipped with modern facilities to meet the needs of children and their families. We offer a 50-bedded Pediatrics ward a 24/7 emergency unit and a 25-bedded neonatal care unit.
Our clinical team manages a wide range of health issues, including respiratory diseases, infections, asthma, intestinal illnesses, neurological disorders and other childhood conditions. Outpatient services are available six days a week and emergency services are active round the clock. We deal in all types of childhood emergencies including cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, shock, status epilepticus and status asthmaticus. Our staff is well trained in neonatal life support as well as Basic and advanced pediatric life-support. The well-equipped neonatal unit deals with neonatal emergencies including septic shock, respiratory distress syndrome, premature babies and neonatal jaundice.
Teaching and Training
We strongly believe in shaping skilled and compassionate doctors. Through Pediatric teaching and training programs, students gain hands-on clinical experience and learn how to manage pediatric cases effectively. The teaching methodologies not only include include bedside teaching, clinical rounds and case discussions but also seminars case presentations, CPC by students as well to strengthen the knowledge and confidence of medical students.
