Prof. Mirza Akmal Sharif is Head of the Department of Medicine, Madinah Teaching Hospital, University Medical & Dental College, Faisalabad. He is FCPS Medicine from CPSP Pakistan and has attended two courses “Fellowship leadership Award” in Australia. He was trained in Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Cardiology and Nutrition. He is Course Director and Trainer for the WHO Nutrition course. He has 20 publications, both National & International to his credit.
He is supervisor, trainer & examiner for FCPS Medicine.
He retired from Punjab Medical College (Faisalabad Medical University), Faisalabad as Professor of Medicine before joining the University Medical & Dental College, Faisalabad.
The University of Faisalabad always emphasizes maintaining sustainability in the environment. Following Prime Minister Imran Khan "Monsoon Plantation Drive" The University of Faisalabad also initiated Tree Plantation Campaign on 10th August 2021
