The Department of Anatomy was established in 2003. General Anatomy, Histology or Microscopic Anatomy, Embryology or Developmental Anatomy, Regional or Gross Anatomy, and Neuroanatomy are all courses in the Anatomy area.
A thorough knowledge of Anatomy is an essential precondition of all medical practices. As they enter the clinical domains, students rely on a solid understanding of the human body's organisation.
The department of anatomy is committed to provide high quality education addressing the expeditious evolving demands of the medical curriculum and community. The anatomy course for the students of MBBS takes place during the first two years while for the BDS it's taught during the first year. The major goal of the program is to provide comprehensive, and broad-based knowledge of human anatomy, strong hands-on experience through living dissection classes and laboratory skills, and a conducive environment for developing educational, ethical and leadership skills.
