Dr. Irshad Ahmad is working as Professor of Surgery and HOD of Surgical Department in MTH/UMDC, Faisalabad. He graduated from Punjab Medical College Faisalabad in 1990 and did his post-graduation from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2006.
His dream was to work as a Surgeon and Teacher that is why he joined UMDC as Senior Registrar in 2007. It is because of his dedication and commitment to work that after a period of years, he was promoted as Professor and HOD of Surgical Department in 2017.He has vast experience of more than 30 years of performing thousands of all types of elective and emergency surgical procedures.
His area of special interest is Thyroid, Breast and Laparoscopic surgery for which he has arranged many live workshops at the surgical floor in which many senior surgeons from Pakistan and Abroad Performed different Surgical/ Laparoscopic Procedures. He has more than 10 research publications in his career. His future prospective is advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric surgery.
The University of Faisalabad always emphasizes maintaining sustainability in the environment. Following Prime Minister Imran Khan "Monsoon Plantation Drive" The University of Faisalabad also initiated Tree Plantation Campaign on 10th August 2021
