Dr. Amira Shahid is working as Assistant professor and Head of the department of Operative Dentistry and Endodontics. She is also a Coordinator Clinical Sciences in the institution. She graduated from de’Montmorency College of Dentistry and completed internship at Punjab Dental Hospital, Lahore. After serving for few years in public health sector, she passed FCPS part I examination and enrolled in fellowship program under College of Physician and Surgeons of Pakistan and completed training with outstanding performance from Punjab Dental Hospital, Lahore. She joined University Medical and Dental College as faculty member in 2013. She passed FCPS part II examination in year 2016 and got Certificate in Teaching and Learning. She has strong clinical skills and a long track record of successful dental treatments. She is also involved in research work and published articles in different health care journals. Her research interest includes minimal invasive dental treatment, dental trauma management, vital and regenerative pulp therapies.
